FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of photo should I upload?
A clear, well-lit, front-facing photo works best. Natural light is ideal — avoid flash glare, heavy shadows, or blurry images. The better your photo, the more stunning your portrait. Resolution of 1MB or higher is recommended.
Can I order a portrait of more than one pet?
Yes! If you'd like multiple pets in one portrait, reach out to us at hello@coatandcanvas.com before ordering and we'll work out the details together.
How long does it take to receive my portrait?
Most orders are completed and delivered in 7–14 business days. During peak seasons (holidays, Valentine's Day) allow extra time. We'll notify you by email once your order ships.
What sizes are available?
We offer three sizes: 8×10 in, 12×16 in, and 16×20 in. All canvases are gallery-wrapped (the image wraps around the sides) and arrive with hanging hardware included.
Do I need to frame the canvas?
No framing needed! Our gallery-wrapped canvases are finished on all sides and come with hardware for hanging right out of the box. They look beautiful as-is.
What artistic styles are available?
We offer four styles: Classic Oil (rich painterly look), Watercolor (soft and dreamy), Sketch (pencil-and-ink precision), and Pop Art (bold graphic color). Each one is hand-finished by our artists.
What if I'm not happy with my portrait?
We want you to love it. If your portrait doesn't meet your expectations, contact us within 14 days of delivery at hello@coatandcanvas.com and we'll make it right — revision, reprint, or refund.
Can I order a portrait as a memorial for a pet who has passed?
Absolutely. Many of our customers create memorial portraits to honor beloved companions who are no longer with them. It's one of the most meaningful things we get to help create. Please visit our In Loving Memory page to learn more.
